Higher Education Links Scheme (HELS)
The Higher Education Links Scheme allows you to use your FETAC Level 5 Certificate to access third level courses from our courses in two ways:

To apply through the HELS, complete one of our courses in full (8 modules) to a high standard, satisfy the 3rdlevel college requirements and apply. The 40 colleges participating in the scheme include Carlow College, Carlow IT, Waterford IT, NCAD, NUI Maynooth, UCC, UCD, Limerick IT, DCU and DIT.
Nursing Applications
Students interested in further study to qualify as a nurse, have the following option available:
*5 distinctions must include a distinction in each of the following modules:
- Anatomy and Physiology (D20001)
- Introdcution to Nursing (D20012)
- Human Growth and Development (D20032) OR Biology (C20006)
The colleges participating in the scheme for nursing include Athlone IT, DCU, Dundalk IT, Galway-Mayo IT, Letterkenny IT, IT Tralee, UCC, UCD, UL, Waterford IT, , NUI Galway, St Angela’s College.
