The Higher Education Links Scheme enables the learner to use the FETAC Level 5 Certificate as follows :

FETAC CERT + CAO = COLLEGE
or
FETAC CERT + RESERVED PLACE = COLLEGE

How do I apply through the H.E.L.S. ?
Complete a FETAC P.L.C. course to distinction level, satisfy the 3rd Level College requirements and apply.

Who operates the H.E.L.S. ?
This year 29 Institutions, including Universities and Institutes of Technology operated the scheme - details available from your Guidance Teacher or P.L.C. Director.

*Applicants are eligible for entry to nursing degree courses via the FETAC Level 5 Award Nursing Studies
  (DCHNS) or Community and Health Services (DCHSX).
  In all cases applicants must have achieved distinctions in 5 modules, Introduction to Nursing (D20012), and
  Human Growth and Development (D20032) or Biology (C20006).
